NICU NMH

Provision of complete electrical services in the hospital’s new €6 Million Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which includes a central station for monitoring babies, vital equipment, dedicated isolation rooms and double clinical spaces around each incubator. The existing hospital remained in medical use throughout the construction period.

The building itself is a listed protected structure and the works required alterations to the existing building to facilitate interconnection to existing hospital services. We also completed new connections to existing mains electrical and communications services.

Electrical Installation included the following:

Project Description

NMH New Theatre

The project comprised the construction of a two story extension, at third and fourth floor of the existing hospital building. We were responsible for the electrical services element of the Fit-Out works. The area included an operating theatre, anaesthetic room, and ancillary accommodation such as changing areas, waiting area etc. All services were required to be integrated into the existing systems in the hospital. Also the hospital remained fully functional for the duration of the works.

Project Description

Electrical Services Renewal

Vincent Doherty Ltd. completed the electrical services upgrade at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street. This involved carrying out the rewiring within a busy hospital and ensuring as little disruption as possible took place during the course of the works. Here we covered all the relevant elements associated with this project ie. working within a ‘live’ acute hospital environment, working with specialist integrated systems including disabled persons alarm, data, PABX, UPS, emergency lighting, fire alarm, access control, CCTV and Security, Nurse Call System, Medical Gases and UPS.

At all times strict procedures regarding health and safety, waste management, dust control and security were adhered to.
